Verrière Hotel le Centenaire

In the heart of the Périgord noir !

Located in the world capital of Prehistory, the hotel, formerly a postal relay station, was expanded and renamed Le Centenaire in 1968, marking 100 years since the discovery of the first prehistoric site: the Cro-Magnon Man. The building combines the warmth of a family-style home with the elegance of a charming boutique hotel. Ideally located in the picturesque village of Les Eyzies, the hotel-restaurant welcomes guests from February 1st to November 30th.

Taken over in 2017 by Chef Mathieu Métifet and his partner Chloé, the Hotel completed its full renovation in 2021. With 19 unique designed rooms, Le Centenaire promises an unforgettable stay. Within its lush grounds, you’ll find a large heated swimming pool (open from early May to late September) and peaceful and quiet terraces. The hotel also features a lounge bar and two dining options: La Table du Centenaire (a gastronomic restaurant recommended in the MICHELIN Guide France 2025) and Le Bistro du Centenaire (a bistro open from February to November). Finally, we offer a private secured parking lot and, upon request, a seminar room for your meetings.

Our reception team is available 7 days a week, from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

Join Clémentine Cousseau, Clément Costes and Quentin Merlet. The winemaker will also be here on hand to present his wine!

A unique menu designed by 4 master chefs, with wine and food pairings for 120€.

Wine evenings are back !

On fridays November 7, 14, 21 and 28 – a local winemaker will introduce you to his best wines.
Chef Mathieu Métifet has prepared a four-part menu, perfectly matched to the wines of our guest winemaker.
Each evening offers a different experience, with a unique winemaker and a varied selection of wines. Menu €89 per person, wine included.
